In my private practice in Cranbrook, Kent I can provide a tranquil space where you will receive impartial and non-judgmental support. To stay emotionally healthy, it is important for us to understand and recognise our emotional injuries. By developing an awareness of our personal warning signs, we can then work together to develop good coping strategies/tools and be able to recognise when we may need to use them.
One simple first aid emotional tool we can use is to control our breathing. This is something we can quickly control which can have immediate positive results:
- Breathe in through your nose to
a count of 1‑5
- Breathe out through your mouth to
a count of 1‑5
It is important to learn how to recognise what works well for us emotionally and, more importantly be able to feel comfortable enough to reach out for support if we begin to struggle. Talking therapies and Counsellors can be incredibly beneficial to any individuals/couples/families who are facing their own crisis or difficult situations.
Life is full of twists and turns, and change can sometimes feel overwhelming. You are not alone in feeling this. If things become too uncomfortable or painful to ignore, it can be advisable to seek support, which is likely to result in:
- Improved well being & self confidence
- Better understanding of you & your relationships
- Better family relationships/ friendships
- Developing self esteem
- Developing resilience.
Being a great communicator is an important skill; there is nothing worse than the feeling of being talked at or not listened to! In counselling we will actively listen and talk effectively. Please feel free to contact me to arrange an initial appointment so we can discuss your presenting problem and how we can work together to support you in your journey forward to a healthier emotional life.
